Alice M. Docterman Obituary Alice passed away peacefully, December 9, 2009. She was born in Missoula, Montana November 28, 1928. She lived most of her life in Spokane where she graduated from West Valley High School in 1946. She worked as a bookkeeper for United Paving and St. Aloysius Rectory for many years. Throughout her life she was happiest spending time with her family and friends. For many years she actively participated in groups such as the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, a sewing club she kindly referred to as the "Girls" and she liked playing pinochle at the Hillyard Senior Center. Reading, watching old western movies and playing card games with her grandchildren and friends were some of her favorite pastimes. Alice is survived by her sons and daughter in-laws, Mickey and Susan Docterman, Bill and Gayle Gordon, a brother and sister in-law, Ronald and Sally Fechner, grandchildren Karrie and James King, Jeremy and Ashlee Gordon and Jesse Gordon. She had four great-grandchildren Mikaylie King, Gabrielle, Chase and Tanner Gordon. She is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Cornelia Fechner, brother Donald Fechner and son, Wayne Docterman. Visitation will be Monday, December 14 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 15 at 11am. A Graveside Service will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Hospice for their kindness the last few months.
