Alice Rose Ellis Obituary (Age 88) Alice, of Lewiston, ID, passed away on April 3, 2012, at Sunshine Gardens, Spokane Valley. She was born on January 9, 1924 to William and Nellie (Gilmore) Onthank in Kamiah, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin, son David York and daughter Sandy Hutchens. She is survived by daughters Donna Taylor (Don) of Tucson, AZ, Louise Robertson (Mike) of Spokane Valley, WA, Elaine Entrup (Dale) of Clarkston, WA, and Elizabeth Cain of Rock Island, IL, sons Mike Ellis of Willow, AK, and Dennis York (Carol) of New York. She will also be missed by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who called her ?Granny.? Alice enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and traveling with her husband. Her sweet, friendly personality made her loved by all who know her. Her last residence was Brighton Court in Spokane Valley. The family would like to thank the staff there and especially the staff at Sunshine Gardens for their loving and excellent care in the last weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spokane Humane Society in memory of her beloved Poochie, or to a charity of choice. A celebration of her life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way at 10:00 am, Friday, April 6.
