Alva S Woodcock Obituary WOODCOCK, Alva Sophie (Age 93) Passed away June 17, 2011. She was born September 22, 1917 in Valleytown, MT to Alfred and Sofia Grytdal. As a toddler they moved to Thief River Falls, MN and came out west to Spokane in 1941. She worked during the war for the Naval Supply Depot. She married Don Woodcock in 1950 and became a homemaker. She loved gardening and family history and made family history albums for all her grandchildren. Alva was a member of Community Radio Watch and a lifetime member of the Sons of Norway Lodge. She is survived by her husband Don; daughters Lois (Norm) Cwiek of Spokane Valley, Kaye Woodcock (Bernie Fanuglietti) of Durango, CO, Sonja (Sam) Wentz of Olympia, WA; six grandchildren Adam Wentz, Abbey Cwiek, Meghan Wentz, Alex Wentz, Evan Cwiek and Hannah Cwiek; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Ed, Perry and Albin Grytdal. Visitation will be 10-5 Tuesday at Heritage, and Funeral Service 2:00PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Heritage Chapel.
