Artis Weldon Roach, Maj. USAF Ret. Obituary Passed away July 20, 2009. He was born April 4, 1933. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1954 and served as a navigator on C-130 Hercules, retired as a Major in 1976. After retiring he worked at Western Optical as an optician for many years. Art was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather for his 50 plus years of marriage. Known for his quick wit and conversational style he never knew a stranger and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Survived by his wife Dorothy Roach; children Brenda (Bob) Howell, Lisa (Ken) Danielson, Randy (Debbie) Roach; grandchildren Brandon and Jillian Howell, Gayle, Kyle and Kory Danielson, Jewel, Krystal, Nathanial and Emeral Roach; niece and nephews Jackie, Everet and Richard Roach. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Maggie Roach and brother Everet Eldon Roach. Memorial Service 2:00PM Friday July 24, 2009 at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Clare Bridge of Spokane, 5329 W. Rifle Club Ct., Spokane 99208.
