Beatrice J. Hansen Obituary (Age 88) Beatrice June Hansen passed away on May 22, 2016 in Spokane, WA. Beatrice was born on October 28, 1927 in Durand, IL to Stanley and Bessie Boomer. She married Robert W. Hansen in Durand, IL on March 28, 1946. As a U.S. Army wife, she traveled with her husband and kids throughout the U.S. and Europe for over 30 years. She loved sewing, bowling, playing bridge and painting; she also crafted. Beatrice was an American Cancer Society volunteer for over twenty years, serving as the Spokane Chapter President for a period of time. Beatrice is survived by her children, Jaqi (Greg) Parker, Richard (Patti) Hansen and James (Denise) Hansen; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Hansen, and her seven siblings. A memorial service for Beatrice will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home.
