Carleta Emilie Heitman Obituary (Age 82) Passed away August 10, 2010 in Spokane. She was born June 25, 1928 in Council Bluffs, IA to Carl and Marie (Busse) Meyer. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School there. She married her high school sweet-heart, Richard Heitman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs on October 23, 1949 and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his death in April 2010. They resided in various western states until they retired to Branson, MO. Most recently they relocated to Spokane, WA. Carleta enjoyed reading, playing cards, needle work and most of all family and friends. She volunteered at her church and the Kimberling City Library. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. She is survived by daughters Susan (Frank) Kirk, Cynthia (Brian) Fiut, Barbara (Michael) Logelin, Elizabeth (Moses) Martinez; grandchildren Catherine, Joshua, Timothy, Kendra, Jessica, Victoria; great-grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Jordyn; sisters JoAnn (Mort) Olson, Irene Meyer, Dorothy (Norman Jack) Thomsen; extended family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Rowland Meyer. Memorial Service 11:00AM Friday, August 13, 2010 at Heritage Chapel.
