Carole Ann Hamby Obituary (Age 81) Passed away November 12, 2015. She was born February 26, 1934 in Spokane to John and Minnie (Pearson) Holmberg. Carole lived in Spokane most of her life. She graduated from North Central High School in 1952. She met William Hamby, a military serviceman, at a barn dance in Spokane and they were married in 1955. She worked for several years as a driver?s assistant for Laidlaw. She loved gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, seeing if she could win at the casino and never wanted to miss her Sunday morning breakfast. She volunteered for the Inland NW Wildlife Council and Meals on Wheels. She regularly donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. She is survived by a daughter Debra (Bill) Trowbridge; sons Jack (Cindy) Hamby and Bob Hamby; brother Bob (Ruth) Erickson; grandchildren Justin, Brian & Brandon Trowbridge, Jennifer (Caleb) Krantz, Tyanne and Courtney Hamby, Chelsea & Alex Hamby; great-grandchildren Hannah & Josh Krantz and Ava Worley, all of Spokane. She is preceded in death by husband William (Bill) Hamby, father John Holmberg and mother Minnie Erickson, brothers John, Carl, Donald and Gerald Holmerg. Graveside Inurnment 1PM Friday, November 20, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Wounded Warrior Project.
