Charles Fredrick Ferg Obituary (Age 87) Passed away on October 1, 2009 at Holy Family Hospital. He was born June 10, 1922 in Spokane, WA to Fredrick J. Ferg and Irene (Walsh) Ferg. Charles graduated from North Central High School. He began his lengthy military career in 1942 where he served in the U.S. Army for three years. He then continued as a civil servant working for the War Dept., Bureau of Reclamation, the Navy Dept., and the Army Dept. He retired from the Army Reserves where he worked as an administrator until 1985; completing 43 years of service to our government. He particularly enjoyed long summers with the family and his dog Nike at his place on Diamond Lake, especially the 4th of July with the boat parade and fireworks. He was a member of the VFW 1474 for over fifty years and was also a longtime member of NARFE. Chuck is survived by his wife Myrna; their two daughters Janet and Sharon Ferg; his brother Paul Ferg and his wife Lila; their two daughters Gail Zorich and Kerri Ferg, and a grandniece and nephew; also his brother-in-law William Hansen. Services will be held with a viewing on Friday Oct.9th from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. and services Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home and Riverside Memorial Park.
