Danny Alan Bowyer, Major USAF(Ret.) Obituary (Age 60) Passed away on November 18, 2009 at his home in Loon Lake, WA surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 12, 1948 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to Darwin (Doc) and Mabel (Larson) Bowyer. He was their only surviving child and was reared in Rockwell City, IA, graduating from high school there in 1967. Dan married Luceen Reifsteck on June 2, 1968. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a BS Degree in Physical Therapy in 1972 and a Master?s Degree in Human Resource Management in 1985 from Golden Gate University. He spent one year at Mt. David Children?s Orthopaedic Hospital in Bethlehem, Israel and then enlisted and served in the USAF as a physical therapist. Upon his military retirement in 1994, he moved to Valley, WA where he continued to work as a physical therapist until January of 2009. Dan is survived by his wife of 41 years Luceen; son Joshua (Kathryn) of Valley and a daughter Diana (Ian) Gruner of Clayton, WA; grandchildren Daniel & Rosemary Bowyer and Josiah Gruner. Dan will always be remembered for his quiet giving nature and love for his Saviour, Jesus Christ. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 6 PM at the Crossroads Community Church, 3130 Church Rd, Valley, WA. A light supper will be served before the service. Please join us to celebrate a race well run.
