Dennis "Dale" Schultz

January 13, 1940 - April 27, 2009

Dennis "Dale" Schultz Obituary Passed away on April 27, 2009 to be with his Lord. Dale was born in Spokane on January 13, 1940 to Evelyn (Helm) and William "Ben" Schultz. Dale grew up in the Spokane area along with his two sisters, Judy and Vicki. He graduated in 1960 from Cheney High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and served until 1965. In 1965 he moved to the Seattle area where he worked for Boeing until 1972. During this time he married and had two children, Ray and Wendy. In 1972, the family moved to Medical Lake, WA, where Dale worked as a police officer and part time bus driver in Medical Lake. In 1978, he moved to Pasco and started farming alfalfa, wheat, you name it, he could farm it! Due to failing health, Dale moved back to Spokane in 2004 to the Spokane Veterans Home. Dale loved stamp collecting and taking vacations with his family. He also enjoyed purchasing houses and fixing them up to rent or sale. He had numerous rentals in the Medical Lake and Tri-Cities areas during his life. Dale was preceded in death by both parents, his sister Judy and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his son, Ray (Carla) Schultz, Pasco, WA; daughter Wendy (Scott) Duncan, Medical Lake, WA; sister Vicki (Clif) Collier, Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Kyle and Lianne, Pasco, WA, Jordan and Allison, Medical Lake, WA; nephews Rob and Troy; nieces Shelley and Valerie; numerous other family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at the Spokane Veterans Home for the wonderful care you provided to our father, grandfather and brother Dale. Dad, your work here is done, you will be missed, but not forgotten. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 1:30 p.m.
