Donna Ethel (McCreight) Petty Obituary (Age 72) Died September 27, 2009. She was born in Spokane on July 17, 1937 to Russell and Ethel (Brown) McCreight. Donna was a 1955 graduate of Lewis and Clark High School. She worked for Bell Telephone Co. and later received a degree in medical transcription from Spokane Community College and was a longtime employee for Associated Internists. Donna was a lifetime member of Liberty Park Baptist Church (now known as Park Heights) although she and her family also attended Grace Baptist and other churches. She was past-president of the Alliance for the Mentally Ill and received several commendations for her work with that organization. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Donna was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed shopping for antiques and creating various crafts. Surviving Donna is her husband of 53 years Bill Petty; her children Cindy Rae Petty and son Steven Russell Petty as well as her sister Sandra Garberg. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 30th, 10:00am - 5:00pm and Thursday, October 1st, 8:00am - 5:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be at 1:00pm Friday, October 2, 2009 at Park Heights Baptist Church, 5101 S. Freya St. Interment will precede the service at Greenwood Memorial Terrace for the immediate family.
