Doris Rosina (Savill) Woodhouse Obituary (Age 102) Affectionately known as Doll to her friends and Granny to her family, was born in Walthamstow in London, England on July 9, 1909. Her parents were Louise and Alfred Saville. Doris spent most of her childhood and adult years living in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. She was the second to youngest child in her family. She had three brothers: Percy, Fred, and Lloyd; and one sister, Winifred, all of whom have since passed away. After completing high school, Doris worked in Service and on July 6, 1935, she married Stanley Aubrey Woodhouse at Luton Parish Church. Doris and Stan had three children, June, John and Mary. Two of her children are still living, June lives in Spokane and John lives in Santa Clara, California. After her children grew up, Doris worked as a hat finisher at Saunders Hat Factory in Luton. In 1964, her husband, Stan passed away from lung disease. He was 62 years old. In the early 1970s, Doris emigrated from England to California and lived with her son John and his wife, Pam.
