Dulice Gerow Obituary
(Age79) Dulice Gerow passed away peacefully on January 14, 2016 at the age of 79. She was born on March 9, 1936 in Yakima, WA. She was a wonderful and caring daughter, sister, mother, and nana. She will be greatly missed.
Mom?s activities included golfing and watching sports on television or in person. She enjoyed cheering for the Seahawks, Mariners and the Gonzaga basketball teams. Mom worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center for 21 years before retiring in 2001. She had many friends from work that she kept in close contact with after retirement. Mom had taken cruises with her family to the Caribbean, Alaska and a much loved trip to Ireland.
Mom had always been an inspirational and faithful Catholic woman all of her life. A devoted member of the Yakima and Walla Walla parishes, as well as St. Peter Catholic Church in Spokane for the last 20 years.
Mom is survived by her brother Joe and sister-in-law Mary Hecox; nephews and nieces, Bill (Pam) Hecox, Ray (Nancy) Hecox, Carol (Rick) Hokanson, and Marilyn (Rick) Mason; four children including daughter Michele M (James) Jereaux-Hebb and grandson David Hayes III; daughter Jan Hayter and grandchildren Ben, Jennafer, and Jeremy; son Wallace (Natalia) Gerow and grandchildren Viktor, Tatiana, Kenny, Edward, Vallerie, Morgan, and Megan; and daughter Kristi (Shayne) Blevins and grandchildren Ryan and Nathan.
Dulice is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Laura Hecox; her two brothers, Bro. Donald Hecox, Fred Hecox, and sister-in-law Kay Hecox.
Rosary will be Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 7pm at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10am also at St. Peter Catholic Church, 3520 E 18th Ave. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Peter Catholic Church.
