Edith O. Norlander Obituary
Loved by so many, Mom and Grandma to all. Having shown us all how to live our lives with love, and blessing us with her presence for almost 90 years, Edith Opal Norlander was born on May 31, 1919 in Coleraine, MN and passed away on May 13, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband Olof Kwent, and sister Virginia Schwartz of Minnesota. Edith is survived by her beloved sons and daughters, Jim, Carl, Helen Kelling, Carol MacDonald and Quint. She was also supported in life and loved by sons-in-law Ed MacDonald and Charlie Kelling, daughters-in-law Loretta, Betty, and Nola, 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grand- children and numerous nieces and nephews. Her love of life, positive attitude, and acceptance of all that came in life's path has been an inspiration for all that have been fortunate enough to have known her. It would be hard to find a soul who did not deserve more, because of who she was and how she so much enjoyed life as it was dealt to her. Don't feel sorry for me, she'd always say. There's always someone worse off and more needy. She loved her family more than anything, and was so proud of her children and grandchildren and how they all bonded so well, never bickering, the older ones always looking out the the younger ones. She loved life, loved camping and hunting with her sons and their families, loved going to casinos, and to garage sales, and was always ready to go with her bags packed whenever one of us would call. She always welcomed anyone and everyone to any family event, always saying the more the merrier. Mom never had a harsh word for anyone, and was truly loved by so many. We miss you so much, Mom. Thank you for letting us all be a part of you life and legacy. You're the best! Memorial service 10AM on May 19, 2009 at Heritage Chapel.
