Fr. George D. Morse Obituary Fr. Morse was born in Lansing, MI to Milo and Mildred I. Strayer/Morse. Preceding him in death are his wife Mary (2003), his parents, five sisters and one brother. Surviving is one brother, Robert Morse of Cheboygan, MI; his children: Kathlene Reinking (John), Cyndie Lipp (Mark), Melody Roswell, George (Penney), Greg (Jackey), 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was a loving father, husband, friend, and care provider/friend to Margaret. Fr. Morse served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was last stationed in Alaska. He served from January 12, 1946 to 1949, when he was honorably discharged. He married Mary Ann Ackles on June 17, 1947 in Seattle, WA while on leave. They lived in the Seattle area until 1971 when they moved to Spokane, WA. Fr. Morse became a Priest in 1976 and served the Church of the Resurrection until his retirement in April of 2013. Fr. Morse has touched many lives during this time and he will be missed greatly. His family's wishes are to keep his Funeral and Interment private.
