Frank Clarence Finch Obituary
(Age 100) Frank joined all the Saints in Heaven on August 13, 2016 in Spokane. He was born April 15, 1916 in Chinook, MT to Clarence and Bertha (Mang) Finch, the oldest of five children. He graduated from Chinook High School, then moved to Ritzville where he worked on a farm and met his future wife, Vida Langenheder. Frank went to Diesel School in Los Angeles and when the US entered WWII, due to his knowledge of ?supercharging? he was recruited by Lockheed Aircraft to work on the experimental flight line for the P-38 fighter plane. Following the war he went to work as a service manager for a Studebaker dealership in LA. He married Vida and they had two children, Nina and Gary. The family lived in Glendale, CA until 1957 when they moved to Spokane. Frank continued working as a service manager at various auto dealerships in Spokane until his retirement. He was active in politics, including serving as a local Republican party precinct committeeman. Frank enjoyed the vintage automobile hobby and was a member of the Model A Club in California, the Historical Automobile Society of Spokane, as well as the Studebaker Drivers Club. As a man of faith, he lived his faith by serving in various capacities at both Manito United Methodist Church and All Saints Episcopal Church. Following the death of Vida, Frank married Clairinda (Borgens) Beilstein in 1984 and the two families joined together to number seven children. Frank and Clairinda lived in Sierra Madre, CA for many years until moving to Spokane in December 2012. In his later years, Frank was a voracious reader and kept up with current events through various magazines. His Bible was always by his chair and he read it daily. His greatest joy was spending time with family. Frank was preceded in death by both Vida and Clairinda, brothers Bill and Ray, and grandson David Beegle. He is survived by his children, Nina (Michael) Beegle, Spokane, Gary (Virgie) Finch, Spokane, Karol McQueary, Redondo Beach, CA, Karl (Debra) Beilstein, Big Bear, CA, Gretchen (Tim) Ramey, Mead, WA, Kurt (Jana) Beilstein, Colbert, WA, and Eric (Tonya) Beilstein, San Dimas, CA; sister Martha Bonebright, Havre, MT; brother Alfred Finch, Chinook, MT, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was blessed with twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at the viewing on Friday, August 19th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00am at Christ The King Anglican Church, 2103 E. Mission, Spokane. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:00pm at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
