George E. Dykstra, Sr. Obituary (Age 58) Left this earth on September 20, 2009. He was born in Paterson, New Jersey on October 25, 1950 to his parents George and Mildred. He is an Air Force Veteran who retired after serving 18+ years of active duty, and was working for Sacred Heart Hospital. He has left behind his wife Nieves and his two sons George Jr., and Michael. He also left behind two grandsons Korban and Landon as well as Elipidio and Evelyn; his brother and sister-in-law. He was known by many as "Big George". Not only was he a big guy with big loud voice, but he had the biggest heart and the biggest smile. He cared about and loved his family extremely. He was a devoted and loving husband, who truly cared about his family. He lived a simple life and enjoyed seeing other people happy. He was and is a great man, and will be forever missed by many. "Dad, we love you!!!" and you will be forever in our hearts. Please join us to celebrate his life, at Liberty Baptist Church, 320 W. Graves Rd., Spokane, WA, on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 1 pm, followed by a graveside veteran service which will be held at 4 pm at Riverside Memorial Park, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA.
