Henrik "Hank" Sallstrom Obituary Passed away peacefully at home June 27, 2009 surrounded in love by his family. Born to Finnish immigrant parents, Henrik and Anna Sallstrom, Hank was raised in Manhattan, New York. He entered the Marine Corp after high school graduation and was discharged with the rank of staff sergeant. He served in combat in the Korean War and later served the Coast Guard Reserves. After his military service he worked for the Kodak Corporation for 15 years. He then worked for Sears in the repair center and worked his way up to building engineer retiring after 31 years. Hank enjoyed his retirement spending quality time with his family fishing, camping and relaxing with friends. His hobbies included woodworking and model ship building. Preceded in death by his parents, Henrik and Anna Sallstrom, twin sister, Lillian and his first wife Fern. Hank is survived by his wife Rikki Sallstrom, daughters Diane Abbott, Jami and husband Don Stuart, and son Joel Erickson and son ? in law Rob Abbott. Grandsons Ryan, Aaron and wife Jenny, and Kalen Abbott, granddaughter Ashley and husband Tony Rex. Great - grandchildren Alaina Rex and Keagan Abbott.
