Howard passed away on October 16, 2015 at his home of 49 years in Spokane, WA. He was born on February 19, 1929 at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA to Tirza and Donald Adams, Sr. Howard graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1947. Soon after, while serving in the United States Air Force in San Antonio, TX, he met and married Billie June Copeland. After leaving the military, they moved to Spokane and were married 59 years until she passed away in 2012. Howard was part of the family business, Adams Tractor Company from the time he returned, until retirement. After retirement he took up the game of golf, mainly to spend time with family. He provided exceptional care to B.J. through an extended illness for many years while constantly looking for ways to be of help to others. Howard will be remembered for his consistently positive outlook and willingness to give of himself.
Howard was a long time member and elder at Sunset Hill Baptist Church and had a strong faith in Jesus. He continued to exhibit this deep daily faith which he helped pass on to others in his life.
Howard is survived by his son, Jeffry (Rebecca) Adams; four grandchildren, Justin, Zachary, Hannah and Emma as well as one great-grandchild, Dakota. Also, two brothers, Carrol and Gordon and one sister, Doris, many nieces and nephews. He remained in regular contact with this large but close extended family. Howard was preceded in death by Billie June Adams, wife; parents Donald and Tirza; three brothers and two sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 24, 3:00pm at Opportunity Christian Fellowship, 1313 S. Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, 99206. Memorial contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels, 1222 W 2nd Ave, Spokane, WA 99201.
