James "Jim" P. Sargent Obituary Our beloved father and friend passed away June 13, 2009 after a year-long battle with cancer. Jim has gone to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born April 12, 1936 to Roy and Twila Sargent in Mason City, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bob Sargent and sister Dolores Knutson. Jim is survived by his son Brett and daughter in law Jodie Sargent; three grandchildren Megan, Michael and James Sargent (Junior); his former wife Margie Sargent and special companion Cheryl Bundy. Jim started his working career with his father at the Power Line Erectors Company and when it was purchased in 1967 by EBSCO he worked for them for a year. Then he started the Electrical Enterprises Company in 1968. In the mid 70's he started Northwest Developers which specialized in residential housing developments. In 1985, with his son Brett, he started AAA Sweeping. For the past two years he has also been doing consulting work for the Porter-Yett Company. Jim worked up until 2 weeks before his death. In college he was an outstanding pitcher for Eastern Washington College (EWU). He loved sports, boats and collector cars. He will be loved and missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday June 20, 2009 at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Road.
