Kathryn "Kay" Brunner Obituary Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 9, 2009. She died peacefully with her daughters at her side. Born in Gordon, Colorado on November 21, 1919, she lived in Spokane for 51 years. She is survived by daughters Diane, Susan, Paulette, Patty, and Penny; Sons-in-law John, Mario, Stewart, and Stan; grandchildren Melissa (Tom), Matt (Joanna), Mara, Marko, Holly, Josh, Caleb, Emily, Amanda, Ryan, Jacob and great grandson Jack. She was preceded in death by Paul, her husband of 65 years. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in home Economics in 1942. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, PEO and a long time member of First Presbyterian Church. A dedicated wife and mother, she also found time to volunteer with St. Luke's hospital and the Girl Scouts. She loved gardening, stitchery, mahjong and enjoyed many nights playing games around the table with her family. The grace, dignity and strength she showed in her life will be with us always. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Hospice of Spokane 121 S Arthur, Spokane, WA 99210. A private memorial will be held at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory. Sweet Mom, we will miss you. You are forever in our hearts.
