February 07, 1935 - September 01, 2011

Linda F. Pinkerton Obituary On Sept 1, 2011, after a courageous 4 year battle with ovarian cancer, Linda F. Pinkerton passed away at home with her family by her side. Linda was born on February 7, 1935 to Bert and Mary Gable. After graduating from Nursing Training at St. Elizabeth's in Yakima, WA she worked as a registered nurse in Seattle, Yakima and Cashmere. She married Jerry R. Pinkerton on November 5th, 1955 and had 5 children whom she adored. She spent most of her life in Cashmere and the Wenatchee area raising her family. In 1978 the family moved to Spokane, where Jerry and Linda owned and operated Graham Shade Window Coverings, known as the ?Shady Lady? and the ?Blind Man?, until retiring in 1998. At that time they decided to travel in their fifth wheel and worked various jobs in the RV park industry. They spent winters in the Yuma area and summers with family in and around Washington State, most recently living in the Lewiston-Clarkston area on the Snake River. Linda enjoyed being with her family, whether it was painting a bedroom, remodeling a kitchen, babysitting kids; you could always count on her. She seldom missed any of her grandchildren's sporting events. She would travel across the state to attend birthday parties, graduations and any special events. Linda was always there for her family. Even though she was very ill she was able to be a big part of the family reunion held recently at Chief Timothy Park. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry R. Pinkerton of Clarkston, WA, and her five children, Kathy Fiorillo and husband Hector, David Pinkerton and wife Diana of Spokane, WA, Laurie Milne and husband Tom of Millcreek, WA, Stephen Pinkerton and wife Jenny of Spokane, WA, Christy Armstrong and husband Jeff of Lewiston, ID, nineteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister-in-law and two nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane on September 17th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the St. Joseph's Cancer Center in Lewiston, ID.
