Kathy Riggs passed away on April 28, 2009 at the age of 73 in Spokane Valley, WA. She was born in Colville, WA on February 10, 1936, the daughter of Cecil B. and Ruby L. McElroy. Kathy grew up in a large family with 7 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David; 4 children, David W. Riggs, Vicki L. Wilson, Monica L. Riggs and Steven R. Riggs; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Urchel and Robert McElroy. Having been a military wife she had the privilege of seeing the world. Mother enjoyed life, traveling, playing games, and always found peace when reading the Bible. Most of all she enjoyed her time and visits with her family, grandkids and friends. She was noted for being a strong woman and the foundation that held our family together, along with her faith in God. Her oldest son, Brother David W. Riggs, will be officiating the services to be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 1:00pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel.
