Passed away March 3, 2010. She was born August 25, 1933 in San Antonio, TX to Luis and Paula Ybarra. She married Melvin Halsey 57 years ago in San Antonio and they were stationed there and in Del Rio, TX, Madrid, Spain, Yokota, Japan, Okinowa, Westover, MA, Lincoln, NB and Fairchild AFB. She enjoyed camping, reading books, walking and RVing. She is survived by her husband Melvin; daughter Rose (John) Kowzan and their son Cary (Mandy) and great- grandson Tanner of Spokane, John (Kami) Halsey and grandchildren Megan and Taylor of Spokane, brothers: Ralph Ybarra of Marshall, MI; David Ybarra of Denmark, Robert Ybarra of Oceanside, OR, Tony, Jose and Louie Ybarra of San Antonio, TX; sisters: Lala Luna of Marshall, MI and Alice Morse of San Antonio, TX; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Tom Ybarra and sister Pauline Monroe. Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday 10-5PM at Heritage and Funeral Service 1:00PM Thursday March 11, 2010 at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O.
