October 21, 1933 - December 31, 2009

Lucy Carrick Obituary (Age 76) Lucy Carrick passed away unexpectedly December 31, 2009, at home in Spokane, WA. Mom was born October 21, 1933, to Ben and Trudie Pedigo in Craigmont, ID. Craigmont always held a special place in her heart and she looked forward to the June Picnic each year to see her classmates and friends. Mom married our Dad, Kay Carrick on September 4, 1952. Because of Dad?s career, we moved often but wherever we moved, Mom always made life-long friends. She was such a very special person and was truly loved by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She delighted in the simple things in life but some of Mom?s true delights were seeing the first hummingbird of the year, trips with her daughter, her grand-dog Katy, an outing with her friend Jetty, her yearly birthday parties, and her nightly glass of wine. However, her true devotion in life was to her family and friends. She will be missed beyond words. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kay Carrick, her parents, and her brother, Bob Pedigo. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Dave) Rickman, Spokane, WA, sons Wayne (Knar) Carrick, Erie, CO, Steve Carrick, Portland, OR, Rod Carrick, Spokane, WA, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. Memorial Service will be Friday, January 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA. The family suggests that donations be made to the Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
