Patricia Elaine Blegen Obituary (Age 90) Pat was born October 7, 1923 in Spokane to Grace Marion Powers and Arthur William Clark. She passed away June 11, 2014. Pat lived in Spokane her whole life graduating from North Central High School and Kinman Business School. She worked at Jensen-Byrd and later the Crescent where she met Anders Blegen. They married Easter Saturday, April 1, 1945, spending 54 years together raising 5 children. Pat and Anders owned and operated Clark�s Dry Goods, a family clothing store on East Sprague for over 20 years. She was creative and enjoyed sewing and other crafts and spending summers at their cabin on Spirit Lake, Idaho. She loved kids and was a sunny, generous person beloved by all she met. Pat also enjoyed teaching Sunday School at St. Mark�s Lutheran Church, was a Camp Fire group leader and contributed to Full Gospel Mission Youth Camp. Pat is preceded in death by her husband Anders. She is survived by her five children; Karen (Barry) Bensel, Portland, OR, Andrea (Del) Schwartzman, Spokane, Doug (Connie Taylor) Blegen, Portland, OR, Claudia (Dale) Flores, Spokane, and Patrice Blegen, Seattle, WA, along with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held Saturday, June 14 from 10:00 � 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, June, 16 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Chapel.
