Ray Wilson Miller Obituary Of Spokane, WA died May 7, 2009 of natural causes. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., May 15, 2009 at First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., Spokane, WA followed by interment in Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ray was born January 29, 1915, in Twin Lakes near Rathdrum, ID to Charles and Anlee (Black) Miller. He graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane in 1933. He worked as a philatelic clerk for the United States Post Office in Spokane for 47 years before retiring in 1982. He was an active member of First Church of the Nazarene, serving on the church board for over 50 years as well as being head usher and teaching the Primary Sunday School class. Ray was married for 66 years to Hazel Dorothy Miller who preceded him in death in 2007. He is survived by a daughter and spouse, Virginia and Dr. Wendell Bowes, Nampa, ID; a son, Kenneth Miller, Salt Lake City, UT; two granddaughters, Heidi Bowes, Buesingen, Switzerland, and Shelley and John Getty, Bakersfield, CA; and four sisters, Ruth and Don Hammon, Pilot Rock, OR, Leonora Knapp, Nampa, ID, Luceal and Rudy Lenker, Grants Pass, OR and Violet Miller, Spokane, WA.
