Richard Carl Nestor, Sr. Obituary (US Air Force Retired) (Age 79) Richard was born December 1, 1933 in McPherson, Kansas to Carl and Edna Nestor. He passed away on January 20, 2013 with his wife Beverly and five children by his bedside. Richard joined the USAF on April 8, 1952 after graduating from McPherson High School. He served his country in Vietnam and retired after 20 years. Richard met and fell in love with Beverly Petrone. They were later married on June 14, 1956. He enjoyed 56 years being married to Beverly. They had five children, Elizabeth Forness (John), Richard Nestor Jr., Cheryl Cruze, Gary Nestor and Michael Nestor. He has 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Richard also worked for Mead School District for 20 years as a Maintenance Engineer. He enjoyed working on anything he could get his hands on. Richard loved getting in the car and just going for a drive. He was MISTER Fix it! He was preceded in death by his father Carl, mother Edna and brother Galen. Richard�s family would like to give many thanks for the wonderful care he received from Dr. Robert Wigert and staff, Comfort Keepers, Holy Family Hospital staff, ICU, Royal Park Care Center and to all of our family and friends for the love and support during this time. Viewing will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, January 25th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:00am.
