Stanley R. Burford Obituary (Age 69) Stanley passed away January 24, 2016 at home in Spokane, WA. He was born to Sam and Alma Ruth Burford on June 18, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He lived in Spokane for the past 42 years where he worked as a radio operator and supervisor for the Spokane Police Department from which he retired after 30 years. Stan was proud of his military service as a helicopter pilot with the US Army including 2 tours in Vietnam. Stan loved reading, travel and spending time with his three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dani; son Bill (Heather), granddaughter Bristol; daughter Beth (Kevin), grandson Jack and granddaughter Delaney. At his request there will be a graveside service at Fairmount Memorial Park on Thursday, January 28th at 11am, Pastor Happy Watkins officiating followed by a reception at the Burford home. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Spokane or the Wounded Warrior Project.
