Theresa Galbraith Obituary
(Age 86) Passed away September 9, 2015 at Kimberly's Cottage in Spokane, WA. Theresa was born May 21, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Paraska Herishen where she was raised with her three brothers, John, Joseph, and Michael, and her four sisters, Helen, Ann? Mary, and Dorothy. She graduated from Bartram High School in 1947 and went on to marry Gordon Galbraith in 1950 while he was enlisted in the Navy in San Diego, CA where they had their son Gordon B. Galbraith. In 1952 they moved to Fort Wayne, IN where they had their daughter, Jeannie Galbraith-DeMarco and soon after moved back to Philadelphia/South Jersey where she spent some time working for the Girl Scouts of America before becoming a highly recognized legal secretary for a prestigious law firm in Center City where she spent the remainder of her career with upwards of 30 years. She took great pride in her work and settled for nothing but excellence from herself and those around her. After the passing of her husband in 1996, Theresa then moved to Kalispell, MT to be closer to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren where she continued making wonderful memories and teaching all she came in contact with about dedication and hard work. It wasn't until 2013 that Theresa moved out to Spokane, WA when her great-great-granddaughter was born and her life's journey here came to a close. Theresa is survived by her sister Dorothy Bell of Greensfield Township, PA; son Gordon Bruce Galbraith also in Pennsylvania; daughter Jeannie Galbraith-DeMarco of Kalispell, MT; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchild and a multitude of nieces and nephews throughout the United States. Funeral Service to be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 808 E. Sitka, Spokane, WA 99208 preceded by viewing at 1PM. Afterwards will be refreshments in the gymnasium while sharing memories from friends and family. Interment will occur at the Conrad Memorial Cemetery, 641 Conrad Dr., Kalispell, MT 59901 the following afternoon where she will then be laid to rest beside her late husband in the place she called home.
