Twila Sue Downey Obituary Was born in Puyallup, Washington on July 13, 1928 and went to be with her Lord on July 23, 2010 in Spokane, Washington. She graduated from high school in Puyallup and worked in many retail stores. Twila married her husband Bill in 1947 when he returned home from the Navy. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary on June 20, 2010. In 1964 they moved to Minnesota where Twila worked in the bookstore at Gustavus College in St. Peter. In 1971 Bill was again transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Twila began working in the payroll department at Oral Roberts University and soon became payroll supervisor. They returned to the Puyallup area in 1983 and bought a home in Graham, Washington. She became interested in decorative painting and made many beautiful painted objects. They moved to Spokane in 2005 and in April of 2010 moved into Harvard Park Retirement in Spokane. Twila is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Sheryl of Spokane; son Mark (Debbie) of Butler, Kentucky; granddaughters Katie of Spokane, Kelly of Whittier, California and grandson Chad of Tacoma. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd at 12:30 PM at the Cheney Community Church, 1307 3rd Street, Cheney, WA. A graveside service will follow at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Medical Lake, WA.
