Verna G. Berger Obituary (Age 90) Verna passed away peacefully in the home of her son, Ken and daughter-in-law Sharon on October 8, 2009. Verna was preceded in death by her husband Ken C. Berger in August, 2005. Verna was born on May 18, 1919 in Reading, PA to George and Gertrude Kulp. She had three brothers and three sisters. Verna is survived by her older sister Ethel, age 95, of Reading, PA. Verna had one child, Ken E. Berger of Spokane, WA. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren Jan Whiting, Shannon Sieman, Lance Shroeder, and Jason Berger; as well as 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Verna was a homemaker most of her life, but also worked for Paris Cleaners in Spokane for ten years. Verna and Kenny's highlights of the years were their Christmas parties and their 40 plus summers spent at Granite Point Park in Loon Lake. A viewing will be held between 12:00PM and 5:00PM on Tuesday October 13, 2009 and between 8:00AM and 5:00PM on Wednesday October 14th and Thursday October 15th. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday October 17, 2009 at 1:00PM.
