COVID-19 UPDATE ON FUNERALS & GATHERINGS

2/18/22 UPDATE

On 2/17/22 the Washington State Coronavirus Response was update as follows:

Masks no longer required in most places beginning March 21

Beginning March 21, face masks will no longer be required in most settings, including K-12 schools and childcare facilities.

Masks will still be required in health care settings such as hospitals, outpatient and dental offices, as well as long term care settings and correctional facilities.

In addition, beginning March 1, vaccine verification for large events will no longer be required.

Businesses and local governments can still choose to implement vaccination or face mask requirements for workers or customers, and school districts can still choose to have students and teachers wear masks. Federal law still requires face masks in certain settings such as public transportation and school buses.

Please anticipate that changes or additional restrictions may be announced by either Washington State or local county or city government that can affect requirements for gatherings and funeral services. Please contact us for any additional details or concerns.

2/09/22 UPDATE

Washington State is updating its requirements for COVID-19 safety. Please note that we will always try to update the current requirements as soon as we are made aware of them. However, as requirements may be changing more rapidly, this page may not have the most up-to-date information. Feel free to contact us or consult an official Washington State source for the most current information.

As of 02/09/2022, the most significant change is that masks are no longer required at large outdoor events.

Indoor masking is STILL required, but that may change any day. Gov Inslee is still looking into this but the guidance for now is as follows:

"Indoor masking requirements are being evaluated daily and there could be changes coming as soon as next week."

08/23/21 UPDATE

Effective August 23rd, 2021 our Funeral Home and facilities are open at full capacity with the following restrictions in Washington State.

Indoor Space Mask Requirement: All visitors, guests, customers, and employees are required to wear a mask or face covering in indoor spaces that are accessible to the public regardless of vaccination status.

We encourage all visitors to be aware of and follow similar practices for the health and safety of your party as well as our employees.

We will continue to monitor our employees for indications of possible or actual exposure to COVID-19, and will also continue to require hand washing and maintain our previous sanitation measures to ensure the safety of all employees and visitors.
