Ground Burial
When it comes to a traditional in-ground burial, your family can choose between the different estate lots, multiple space lots, or single space graves available at one of our 7 cemeteries. We’ll walk you through the different options that exist and assist you in finding an option that fits your needs, budget, and personal preferences.
Mausoleums
A mausoleum is a large, above-ground structure designed to hold caskets or urns, so it is an option for either cremation or body burial.
It may contain individual compartments (crypts) for each deceased person or family, often with space for personalization such as plaques or engravings. Most mausoleums also contain glass-front niches for cremation urns and personal mementos.
Family Estates & Private Mausoleums
Some families choose to establish a private burial ground on their property or purchase a family plot within a cemetery. This allows for multiple family members to be buried together and may offer greater control over the memorialization process.
Green Burial
Heritage Funeral & Cremations is pleased to offer sustainable options for both burial and cremation.
Green or natural burial involves burying the body without embalming or using non-biodegradable materials. The goal is to minimize the environmental impact by allowing the body to decompose naturally. Biodegradable caskets or shrouds are often used, and grave markers are typically natural and minimalistic.
Currently, green burials are only permitted at Forest Grove Green Burial & Cremation section at Riverside Memorial Park.
