A. Vivian (Jacobsen) Daugert Obituary
(Age 80) Vivian (Jacobsen) Daugert, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, March 23, 2017. She had just celebrated her 80th birthday with family. She was born to Alvin & Marcia Jacobsen on March 21, 1937 in Glasgow, Montana. The family moved to Coulee Dam, WA when she was just a girl where she was raised with her five sisters and brother. She moved to Spokane, WA where she raised her own family, finishing her degree in Social Work at Eastern Washington University. She lived a full life, with many different and colorful hats- literal and figurative. She was a mother to five, grandmother to twelve, and great grandmother to eight. She told wild stories and grand fairy tales that transported her grand babies to distant lands, but few were as lovely as her very own personal garden. Vivian shared a deep love of her family and community, never meeting a stranger and always up for an adventure. Vivian enjoyed reading a good book or triumphing in her many bowling tournaments. She was equally fond of traveling, a past time she explored thoroughly when she met and married her soul mate Stanley Daugert in August of 2000. Together, they discovered many of those far off lands she told her grandchildren about. In the summer months, she could often be found boating on lake Coeur d'Alene, a family tradition she continued this past year. She is survived by her children R. Terry Neal (Terry Dee), Rick A. Neal (Lisa), Jack M. Miller (Nikki), and daughter Rhonda K. Neal, as well as twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her brother Sonny, sisters Kay, Sherry, Cindy, Jackie, and Carol also survive her. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Marcia Jacobsen, her son Thomas Jeffery Neal, and two sisters Connie-Lou Jacobsen and Marcia R. Milford. She joins her beloved husband of 12 years Stanley Matthew Daugert, who passed in 2012. There will be two days of visitation Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 10 AM-5PM and Friday, March 31, 2017 from 10AM - 5PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Fairmount Memorial Cemetery, Sunset Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Morning Star Foundation, PO Box 31330, Spokane, WA 99223 or Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E Trent Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.
