January 12, 1917 - February 27, 2015

Agnes Elaine (McCraith) Zacher Obituary Our mother joined many loved ones in Heaven on February 27, 2015. She was born January 12, 1917, to John and Gladys McCraith on a farm in Lark, ND. In the fall of 1934 the family moved to Spokane, where she attended Rogers High School. She worked as an elevator operator at the Davenport Hotel after graduation. On December 16, 1938, she married the love of her life, Arleigh Zacher, who she knew in North Dakota. In 1946 they moved their family to Moran Prairie, where she was active in the community, being a member of the Moran Ladies Aid, Moran Homemakers, Moran Grange, and Moran United Methodist Church, and working occasionally at Jacobson?s Greenhouses grading roses and Steele?s turkey farm preparing fresh turkeys for holidays. She also was active in the 4-H clubs her children belonged to and took part in the Moran Fair for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Arleigh; sons Darrell, Lyle, and Dwaine; infant great-grandson Randal Storms; and her brother Elmer ?Mac? McCraith. She is survived by her daughters Ardis Storms (Bob) and Judy Nessen, and son Jim (Theresa), all of Spokane; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends. Our thanks and gratitude to Ponderosa Care Center for the care and love they gave her in her final months, and to Gentiva Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held March 10 at 11 a.m. at Moran UMC, 65th and Freya, Spokane. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Moran UMC.
