A.J. "Bud" Pardini Obituary
A.J. "Bud" Pardini died peacefully on December 22 with his family at his side. He was born on January 10, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Ethel Duffy and Gino Pardini. He was the 9th of 10 children. He was valedictorian of Southeast Catholic Boys School in Philadelphia. He enlisted in the Air Force and in 1950 was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. He met his wife, Donna Ehlers, and in 1951 they were married. They moved briefly back to Philadelphia, returned west to Kellogg, ID and eventually settled in Spokane, where he attended Kinman Business College. Bud worked at Fidelity Mutual Savings Bank starting as a teller and working his way to vice president. During this time he was also a state legislator where he once again rose through the ranks and became Minority Whip. He retired from banking and continued work in the political realm. He worked for Senator Dan Evans and then as an appointed Commissioner for Utilities and Transportation. He retired in 1992. Bud was community oriented working with Jaycees, Rotary, and the United Way. He spent lots of time with his family; skiing in the winter and enjoying Priest Lake in the summer. He was a mentor to many a person and was an absolute role model, although he may not have always realized this. He taught many to always remember "to those whom much has been given, much is expected." He is survived by Donna, his loving wife of 60 years, daughters Carolyn Pardini (Polson, MT), Missy Hill (Priest Lake, ID), Jill Morse (Hailey, ID), 5
grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brother Tom Pardini, and sisters Delores
Traexler, Marji McGee, and Rosellen Shepard. A memorial service is planned for a future date. The family asks remembrances be made to the Hutton Settlement or the Union Gospel Mission.
