October 08, 1959 - January 05, 2017

Alechia Y. Miller Obituary (Age 57) Alechia Yvonn Miller passed away on January 5, 2017 in Spokane, Washington. Alechia was born on October 8, 1959 in Lamesa, Texas, the youngest of three children, to J.C. and Temple Norman. She was always the fireball of the family, the one that shined her own shine, not like anyone else. Although she was born in Texas, she was raised mostly in California and Oklahoma. She grew up a strong, independent woman and as a young mother in the 70s, she moved from Oklahoma to the Pacific Northwest where she has resided ever since. Alechia survived becoming a widow at the age of 34, and has been with her best friend, Bobby, for about 23 years now. Alechia had a great sense of humor and a great knack for bringing the family together during tough times. She became the Loving Peacemaker of the family. Always giving the best caring advice with her wisdom and knowledge. Everyone turned to Aunt Lisa, Auntie Painty, Sister or Friend. She loved her family unconditionally. Alechia loved to make earrings and bracelets with beads and she loved to clip and share tons of coupons with her sister and friends. She also had an extensive angel collection. Alechia was born of Protestant parents and was always a firm believer in her Southern Baptist roots with the Power of Prayer. Alechia is survived by her husband, Robert Marks; sons, Rodger Ford and Justin Miller; brother, Jesse Norman; sister, Leia Felix; nieces, Alechia Norman and Windy (Keith) Ramsay; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in Oklahoma and Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wes Miller; niece, LeAnna Darr; and aunt, Bonnie Byrum. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 1pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Please make any memorial contributions to SCRAPS Animal Rescue 6815 E. Trent Ave. Spokane Valley, WA 99212 in Alechias name.
