Alice C. Schutz Obituary Alice passed away on Saturday April 11, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Bertha (Radke) Pasche, step mother Elsie Winkler, sisters Laura (Johnson) Mauch, Leona Neuman, Freida Otte, and brothers Roland and Art Pasche. Surviving are her daughters Bonnie Sanders and husband Don of Tacoma, Patsy Zahrowski and husband Jerry of Spokane, and son Dennis Schutz and wife Lori of Spokane, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, with numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was born in Columbus, North Dakota on November 24, 1919. Her grandparents migrated to North Dakota from Germany, and in 1936 moved to the northwest. Alice went to Kennewick and Portland for brief stays, and ended up in Spokane in 1938 After living in the same house for 42 years she moved to Royal Plaza in 2006 where she enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and was cared for by a loving staff. Alice worked all her life in various jobs mostly in wholesale warehouse positions; she retired 27 years ago from URM. Alice loved quilting, volunteering at church and traveling with her sister. Services will take place Saturday, April 18th. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park, and a celebration of Alice's life for all to attend will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on 7307 N. Nevada, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League at 7307 N. Nevada, Spokane, WA 99208.
