Alice Eik Obituary
Alice Eik was born in Forest Grove, MT. on March 12, 1926 to Alfred and Edith Sellers. The family moved to Trentwood WA in 1936. She graduated from West Valley High School then went on to work for the United States Navy during WWII at the Naval Supply Depot. After the war she attended Morse Beauty School opening her own bushiness in the late '40's and retiring in 1995.
She spent her life taking care of all who she came in contact with; from the smallest of babies to the sick, frail, and old and everyone in between. She devoted her life to making sure everyone felt loved and cared for in a way that only she could. As the anchor and Matriarch of our family she instilled in all of us the belief that family came before all else. And for that we will be forever grateful.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Eldon; son Mike; daughter Kathleen Henrickson; grandson Brandon Eik; sister Edith Foster; brothers Bud, Jim and Bob Sellers.
She is survived by her sons Edward and Larry (Karen); granddaughters Karalee Carr (Tyler) and Kaylene Elam (Mike); grandsons Kevin Henrickson and Brian Eik; great-grandchildren Madison, Hayden and Tamryn Carr and Lilly and Brandon Elam; sister Laura Haile; sisters-in-law Betty and Mary.
Alice passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home after spending Thanksgiving week with all her family and friends.
The service will be held on Friday Dec. 18th at 1:00 pm at the Millwood Presbyterian Church on 3223 N. Marguerite Rd. Millwood WA. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Wish Star Foundation at 139 S. Sherman St., Spokane WA 99202.
She will be dearly missed by all of us........
