Alice Virginiia Ladwig Obituary (Age 92) Born to Giles F. Payne and Meldora Bailey Payne on November 10, 1917 in a farm house south of Wilbur Washington. She died peacefully at her Daughter Judith's house (with Judy holding her hand) in Dublin, California January 4, 2010. She was the youngest of eight children. Alice's mother died when she was two years old and her father was killed in a logging accident when she was nine. She spent the next few years living with her older sisters, brothers and other relatives. Alice married Wilfred "Bill" Ladwig July 28, 1935. They were married for 49 years until Bill died in 1984. Alice was a homemaker and caregiver. She nursed Bill through various illnesses for the last nine years of his life. Mom was a nanny to Mark Rider for several years and helped the Rider family as well. She always found somebody to care for and rarely asked for anything for herself. Mom shared her unconditional love with her entire family and many friends. She had a quiet but deep relationship with her loving savior Jesus Christ and is resting easy in his loving embrace. We will miss you Mom. Her husband Bill Ladwig, son Clayton Ladwig, four Brothers and three Sisters, predeceased Alice. She is survived by her daughter Judith Bowman of Dublin California, her son Craig (Marge) Ladwig of Harrison, Idaho, daughter-in-law Sharon Ladwig Spokane WA, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 11:00AM Saturday January 16, 2009 at Heritage Chapel.
