He was born in Wheelwright, KY on February 24, 1939 to Polly and Andy Bakos Sr. Andy served in the U.S.M.C. from 1953 to 1956 and graduated Metaline Falls High School in 1956. He married Evelyn on August 2, 1961 at the Hitching Post in Coeur d?Alene, ID. Andy lived in Spokane for the past 58 years of his life. He enjoyed racing cars, fishing, hunting, and most of all spending time with his friends and family. Andy was a member of V.F.W. Post 51. He is survived by his daughters Dawn Kirkman, Tri-Cities, WA, Dina Bakos, Longview, WA and Debra Bakos, Spokane, WA; sons James Hood, Spokane, WA, Robert Bakos, Spokane, WA and Andrew Bakos, Davenport, WA; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Andy was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn in July 30, 2004. A time of visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 10 am to 5 pm. A funeral service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 1 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Andy?s name to Cancer Patient Care or Hospice of Spokane.
