Anges "Robbie" Robinson Obituary (Age 95) Passed away May 31, 2018 in Spokane, WA. Agnes Boutin was born in Spokane in 1922, attended Lewis and Clark High School, Brown and Keating University and Marylhurst College. She married Kinsey Robinson, the boy next door that she had known since they were 15 years old, when he returned from overseas service in the Army in 1945. They had three children and son, Rob F. Robinson preceded them in death in 1971. Agnes was a member of the Spokane Junior League, holding offices in the league over the years. She was chairman of the League?s Well Baby Clinic and filled in as the nurse when there was a shortage of nurses during World War II. She served on the boards of the Girl Scouts of America, Junior Achievement, The Camp Fire Girls and the Spokane Blood Bank. Agnes was one of the original group of volunteers with the blood bank, when it began in the late 1940?s and continued to donate blood until 2007. Robbie was a high fashion and photographer?s model during the 50?s and 60?s and was a staff model for the Crescent Department Store and their Tea Room for over 15 years. During those days, they also worked for department stores that carried their fashion shows on television, in the Coliseum, and, a first, in 1960, an evening fashion show outdoors at Main and Wall, covered by the National Geographic. She was an instructor and assistant manager of Drezden Charm and Modeling School. During 1957-58 Robbie was the hostess of a women?s weekly program for KGA Radio. She served as coordinator and judge for the local and Washington State Junior Miss and Washington State Miss American Pageants for many years and in was the Fashion Coordinator for the Bon Marche, prior to moving to Lewiston, ID with her family in 1965. While in Lewiston for over 20 years, she worked on the Crisis Line and was chairman for the Nez Perce County Cancer Detection study. Agnes ?Robbie? and her family returned to the Spokane area in 1986, and since that time, she and her husband have been active with the Ogden Hall Shelter, the Inland Northwest Blood Center, the Spokane Guild?s School and Neuromuscular Center, the Inland Chapter of Multiple Sclerosis and the local ALS (Lou Gehrig?s) Service Organization. For twenty years during their retirement, the Robinsons wintered in Arizona each year until 2005 and annually traveled abroad over a ten-year period, visiting many different countries and took great pleasure in cruising. She enjoyed playing golf and as her brother-in-law, pro golfer Marvin Bud Ward said, ?If she hadn?t been so lazy, she would have been one of the really excellent women players.? She loved the many summers spent at Hayden Lake, ID as she was growing up, and later with their own family and children. She was one of the five original golfers and members of the Hayden Lake Country Club?s Mug Hunter?s Golf Tournament. She was an avid reader, liked the challenge of tournament bridge, gardening, and photography, was seldom seen without a camera clicking away and was known for her wonderful sense of humor. Agnes ?Robbie? is preceded in death by her husband, Kinsey. She is survived by her daughter, Gale A. Robinson of Seattle; son, Kinsey M. Robinson (Mona) of Upper Marlboro, MD; brother, Dr. Frank J. Boutin (Charlotte) of Sacramento, CA; sister, Lois Ward Ladley of Napa, CA; grandson, Rob F. Robinson (Shannon) and their daughter, Summer, of Scott, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews she dearly loved. A private family service will be held at a later date.
