Passed away on September 15, 2009 in Spokane, WA. She was born on October 25, 1943 in Pocatello, ID to Robert Wayne Braga and Mary Florence Braga. Anita was the second oldest of five children. From an early age, Anita always was the Mommy of the group. Keeping true to her natural instinct Anita started a family at a young age. She became a grandma at the age of 37 and a great grandma at the age of 57. Anita was a strong individual who loved faithfully. Anita was the pillar of strength, love and support to her family and friends. She was always by ones side. Anita loved arts and crafts, especially sewing. Her work is a legacy throughout the Spokane area when you think of baby quilts. Anita would spend hours in her sewing room and was blessed to share the "project vacations" with her best friend and sister, Linda, in Oregon who also shares the same passion. Ready to take a break and then take on a new career at raising her great-grandchildren, Anita retired from Bank of America in 2006. All who had the honor to work with Anita knew her as "Mom" or "Gramma Nita". Anita has impacted the hearts of many and her memory will live forever. Anita is survived by her children: Debbie and Rick Christel, Rob Squillace, Tony and Theresa Squillace and Stacy Squillace; her grandchildren Suzie and Josh, Matthew, Ryan, Michael, Rachel and Tory; as well as her great-grandchildren Jacob, Hailee and Dekin. Anita is also survived by her brothers Alan and Victor Braga and her sister and best friend, Linda Estes. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Braga, mother and stepfather, Florence and Bill Bullard ; her sister, Joyce Fletcher, and "MC". A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane Hospice House, 121 S.
