August 27, 1937 - December 26, 2016

Anna Primiani Iliakis Obituary Anna Primiani Iliakis of Spokane peacefully passed into the hands of our Lord and Savior on December 26, 2016 with her loving family at her side. She was born to the late Bernardino and Maria Pistilli Primiani on August 27, 1937 in Vinchiaturo, Italy. In 1953, Anna and her family relocated to Spokane after a five-year residency in Montreal and Rossland, BC, Canada. Having successfully adjusted to her new life, Anna graduated from John Rogers High School in 1957 and subsequently completed a Business Administration Certificate at Kinman Business University. Soon thereafter, she was employed by Anthony, Baker and Burns Insurance agency as a Claims Clerk. In 1965, Anna met Michael Iliakis of Kalonyktis, Crete, Greece and they married in 1966 in New York City. They lived a loving and dedicated life together in Spokane for over fifty years. In 1968, they moved to the family farm where they worked hard and raised their three children. Along with Michael, they all survive Anna; Aristides and his wife Kathryn with their daughters Marisa and Karena, of Mukilteo; Sophia and her husband Eoin, of Sequim; and Bernardino and his wife, Pinar with their children Alessandra and Leonardo, of Seattle. Anna served on the Spokane County Election Board and was a well-respected, certified caregiver to a number of elderly members of the community, including family members Emmanuel Iliakis and her mother, Maria. She was a skilled Homemaker and gardener who enjoyed cooking delicious regional Italian dishes and raising beautiful flowers and vegetables. Anna was an active member of the Orchard Prairie Homemakers Club, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and in her earlier years, the 4-H Club and Boy Scouts of America. Annas life was celebrated at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church amongst loving family and friends. She was interred into the Orthodox Garden at Riverside Cemetery in Spokane. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Anna Iliakis Memorial Fund at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Spokane or make a donation to a charity of choice in memoriam of Anna Primiani Iliakis.
