Anne B. Holloway Obituary (Age 78) Passed away April 29, 2015 at her home in Airway Heights. She was born Jan. 9, 1937 in Newbury Berkshire near London, England to William and Peggy Bannister. She graduated from high school at age 16 in Newbury, England where she worked as a nurse?s aide in a local hospital. She married John Holloway on March 16, 1955 and they lived in Newbury until 1957 and moved to Mountain Home AFB, ID. They lived in Denver, CO, Madison, WI, Albany, OR and finally settled in Airway Heights. All throughout their moves there were constants in Anne?s life: taking care of the kids, teaching Sunday school, coaching youth bowling, playing cards, going to her lake place at Inchelium and her favorite pastime bowling. Every 4th of July she would gather her family and friends at the cabin and they would build on the property and watch fireworks at night. She had a passion for volunteering as a food server at the Shriner?s Childrens Hospital. Anne was known to all to freely give her advice on who to like and not like in the current PGA golf tournaments, had a deep devotion to her two dogs Frisky and Lucky and enjoyed being a clown for the Ladies of Oriental Shrines. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star and attended the Methodist Church in Davenport, WA. She is survived by her husband John; sons Richard (Julee) of CA, Anthony (JoAnn) of WA, Paul (Cindy) of WA, Warren of WA, Tracy of TX; honorary sons Jack (Lisa) Links of WA and William (Sherry) Underwood of CA; brothers Richard and Terry of England and Peter of Australia; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a plethora of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter SallyAnne; brother William; sisters Sally and Jill. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2PM Sat. May 16, 2015 at the Cheney United Church of Christ, 423 N. 6th in Cheney, WA. A reception sponsored by the Order of Eastern Star will follow in the church fellowship hall. Flowers may be sent to the church or memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children. The City Council of Airway Heights has declared May 16th as Anne Holloway Day and the flag will be flown at half mast.
