Archie Jr. McKnight Obituary (Age 87) Archie McKnight, Jr, most people called him Mick, passed away on October 9, 2016 in Spokane, WA. He was born on August 27, 1929 in Jamestown, ND to Archie McKnight, Sr and Hazel (Orr) McKnight. He went as far as 8th grade and had to put up with bullies just as they do now. It was during the depression so he had to work on the farm. Later he married Arlene Jones in Wadena, MN. They had two children Doug and Brad. In 1956 they moved to Spokane. Mick got a job at the Inland Empire Paper Co where his fellow coworkers nicknamed him Wheels. He loved music and played his guitar. He also enjoyed going camping to relax. He had a Goldwing motorcycle and liked taking trips. Mick married Josephine Castle in 1979 and together they attended Christian churches for a number of years. He is survived by his brother Donald McKnight of Post Falls, ID; sons Doug and Brad McKnight of Spokane; 6 of Josephines children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four grandchildren from Doug and Brad; great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by both Arlene and Josephine; his parents Archie and Hazel McKnight; sister Ruby Card of Staples, MN; brothers James McKnight of Bertha, MN, Shirley McKnight of Spirit Lake, ID and Stan McKnight of Butte, MT. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 1pm. Viewing will take place from 11 am 12:30 pm before the service.
