Arthur LaVern Ankley Obituary (Age 86) Arthur L. Ankley passed away on May 26, 2016 in Spokane, WA. He was born February 16, 1930 in Rice Lake, WI to Raymond and Ida Ankley. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951-1953. He was a barber by trade but held many jobs, retiring from Spokane Steel Foundry in 1995. Art was a happy-go-lucky guy; he was a great dancer, loved the great outdoors, western music, hunting, fishing, and boating. Art is survived by his seven children, Art, Debbie, Guy, Susan, Lori, John, Brian and their spouses; one step-son, John; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Ankley; step-son, David; three sisters, Ermina, Mary, Fern, and his parents. Viewing will be held at Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., at 1:30pm on Wednesday, June 8th, with the Graveside Service to follow at 2:30pm.
