Arthur Wayne Jones Obituary
Art was born March 21, 1925 in Okanogan Washington, to his parents Clara and Clarence Jones. He was deceased June 4, 2014 in Spokane Washington and was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, V. Lavern Jones. He is survived by his three children, Terry and Cheryl Jones in Topeka, KS, Linda and Royce Cuneo, in Spokane, WA, and Wayne Jones in Alamogordo, NM. Art is also survived by eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He served his country in World War II and following the war, continued serving the public at the VA hospital and Fire District 10, later retiring from both jobs. Art was especially fond of fishing and playing bluegrass music on his 5-string banjo. Like most things, Art had overhauled his banjo for his custom sound. He was known to be able to fix anything just about anywhere. He carried a 4" crescent wrench and screwdriver almost everywhere he went, so he could easily be ready for any mechanical emergency. And then there were the endless ball games on TV...........but that?s OK, at least his energy was never wasted.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11:00am at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
