Barbara Gaye Bethards Obituary (Age 58) Passed away July 21, 2010. Born the only and cherished daughter of Bill and Gaye Bethards, Barbara spent her formative years in Spokane and the surrounding area. She graduated from Shadle Park High School, Washington State University, and Gonzaga Law School. Barbara dedicated 30 years to Sacred Heart Medical Center as a transcriptionist and developed a loving family of friends there. Barb was passionate in her love of dogs and demonstrated that in her care of her recent animal companions, Eddie and Seska. Barb devoted many hours of her time to the Spokane Humane Society and even made a roadtrip to visit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. Barb was a world traveler, first with her parents and more recently with friends. Barb was preceded in death by her parents and uncle Ted Bethards. She is survived by her aunt Rowena Bethards and many loving cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 28th at Sunset Chapel in Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W Wellesey Ave. Donations can be made to the Spokane Humane Society.
